- Memorable, meaningful day full of love, laughter, great food, loads of singing and dancing, a few joyous tears, that humble feeling of "how blessed am i"+ "it was worth the wait" and an opportunity for guests to have meaningful conversations inspired by our wedding
- A REUNION for family and friends:A space for our family and friends to reconnect and form new friendships- both our families are scattered all across the globe and are not in the same space/under one roof for long chunks of time. We therefore want to use the wedding day and the events before that to allow people who have not met in a long time to reconnect.
- Low on stress
- Be a blessing for everyone involved and everyone who attends
- A wedding where my bridesmaids don't spend thousands of shillings on a dress they will never wear again but are happy with their attire investment;
- To give the planning full fun attention when it is the right time but to also limit our time spent on planning so that it does not become a priority over all the other things that are also priority in our lives.
- The best party we will have thrown to date!
- A wedding where the MARRIAGE is even more important than the wedding day.
- We want the opportunity to be surrounded by our closest friends and family and the people who have played significant roles in our individual journey and journey together. We do not want to have to do "crowd control" but at the same time we do not want to cut off too many people that our family (e.g. parents) may also want to celebrate with them. For that reason we think a guest list of 350 guests is the best.
- A wedding full of LOVE and HISTORY
- A wedding that reflects our marriage vision that together, we are BOLD, UNITED, INVESTORS, LEADERS, DISCOVERS who desire to spend a lifetime together (Re)BUILDing one another and others, houses, and displaced communities.
- sunny, outdoor ceremony
- morning wedding and a brunch reception
