Our wedding menu

Kenyan weddings can be very high on startches and low on stews and salads. If money was not a consideration I would love to balance it out.   Having mentioned money, the 3 things we are willing to splurge on are food, photos and videos and our rings as those are the ones that will last forever.

Our food will be somewhat traditional to include (dream menu)

Startches (4)
- Pilau rice
-Vegetable rice
-Chapatis (brown and white)
-Mukimo

Proteins
-Beef stew
-roast chicken
- Njahis (black beans)
-* roast goat roasted on site- who can do this?
-* chicken stew
(the items in stars are those we can do away with if price is too high)

2 Salads

Fruits (pineapple and watermelons)

1 soda and 1 water

All for a maximum of Kshs.500 per plate * 350 guests=Kshs.175,000
