Wedding invitation: asking for cash or gift vouchers

SugarHoney and I have been living independently for some time. This means that we have a number of home-making basics and would therefore prefer to get cash/gift vouchers that we can use to get more advanced home equipment or help with honeymoon costs. I am looking for wording to put in the invitation that politely passes this message along, so that we don't end up with even more cups and plates than we already have(thanks be to God)

The preamble to our request is:
"The very best present we can receive is your presence at our wedding and your love and support as we embark on this adventure together..."

now i need to find proper wording to say that if people want to give us stuff, we would prefer cash and/or gift vouchers

UPDATE- this is the closest, wanting to keep it short so that the message gets through, and polite!
"Your presence, love and support is the very best present; should you wish to help us set up our new home,  we respectfully request that you kindly restrict your gifts to cash donations only, due to upcoming travel plans"

 meanwhile i love this quote:
Love me when I least deserve it, because that's when I really need it." -Swedish Proverb
