PRAYER FOR BRIDES
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for my life! Thank you for
the many blessings you have given to me, most importantly the sacrifice
of your son so that I may live with you in eternity! Thank you for
transforming my heart and for continuing the good work in me that you
have prepared in advance.
Thank you for my fiancé and the love
that he has for me! I am so excited about experiencing marriage and
living out the rest of my life with a companion. Please help me to
remain in you as I learn how to balance my life and my commitment as a
wife. Teach me how to be the wife my soon-to-be-husband needs. I pray
that I am submissive and that I respect my husband as you call me to in
your word!
I lay these things at your feet and ask
that you guide our marriage and give us wisdom in handling every aspect
of what you give us including: finances, sex, children, jobs, housing,
family, friends, church and anything else that requires a decision or
commitment!
I pray for protection over our
marriage! Please send angels to guard our relationship from the schemes
of the enemy. I ask, Lord, that you protect my fiancé from temptations
that may come. Guard and protect his mind and his heart. I pray the
same for me, that you protect me from temptations and guard and protect
my mind and heart. Seal us and separate us from the ways of this world
and help us to keep you at the center of our marriage.
I pray that we would both desire each
other passionately and desire to pray with each other daily! Reveal
your will for our lives and show us that we are a team working together
to further your kingdom!
In Jesus Name AMEN!

O, Father, my heart is filled with a happiness so wonderful that I am almost afraid. This is my wedding day, and I pray Thee that the beautiful joy of this day may never grow dim with years of regret for the new step I am about to take. Rather, may its memories become more sweet and tender with each passing anniversary.
Thou hast sent to me one who seems all-worthy of my deepest regard. May I prove indeed a helpmeet, a sweetheart, a friend, a steadfast guiding star among all the temptations that beset the impulsive hearts of men. Grant unto me the power to keep him ever true and loving as now.
Give me the skill to make home the best-loved place of all. Help me to make its glow shine further than any glare that would dim its radiance. Let me, I pray Thee, meet the little misunderstandings and cares of my new life bravely. Be with me as I start on my mission of womanhood, and keep my path from failure. Walk Thou with us, even to the end of our journey.
Father, bless my wedding day, hallow my marriage night, sanctify my motherhood—if Thou seest fit to grant me that privilege. And when all my youthful charms are faded, and the cares and lessons of life have left their touches, let physical fascination give way to the greater charm of blessed companionship. So may we walk hand in hand down the highway lighted by the sunshine that comes from living righteously, for time and for all E T E R N I T Y.

Morning Prayer on my wedding day and after
PAPA,
Today is my wedding day! It is new season of my life
Thank you for enabling us to prepare for this day and to work through a lot of particulars in our pre-marital counseling. May we always be a part of a wonderful covenant community that will continue to teach us things directly and indirectly along your journey.
PAPA You say that I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which You prepared for me to walk in (Eph 2:10). Thank you for blessing me with a godly man to partner with in this life of good works. May You always be our first love!Empower us to be be a man and a woman of the Word. may we intentionally hide your Word be in our hearts that we may not sin against you. May we talk about your Word when we walk by the way, when we lie down, and when we rise up.
PAPA today is our first day of building a new family. You say that unless You build the house, we will be labouring in vain. Build for us!
You say that without a vision people perish. I pray that you may give us a solid vision. Empower and equip us to review these plans regularly together in light of the building code which is Your Word. Empower and equip us to daily commit our plans to You, and to execute them with diligence.
PAPA, A blueprint is one thing, the building of the actual house quite another. May we not just start with high hopes, empower and equip us to be diligent and do what it takes to see the vision You give to us materialize. Proverbs 21:5 reminds us that: “The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.”
PAPA You have promised to complete the good work You begun in us- being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Philippians 1:6
Empower and equip him to love me and empower and equip me to respect him-"However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband." Ephesians 5:33
Empower and equip me to be led by him. May I always run other people’s input by him
Empower and equip me with an attitude of gratitude. Ps 103:1-2 tells us: “Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Thank you for forgiving our sins! Thank you for crowning us with Your loving-kindness! Thank You for satisfying our mouths with good things. May we bless you Lord throughout our day.
Empower and equip me to be B's number one cheerleader. May my words, actions, and countenance build *B* up and empower him to be the man You designed him to be. May he be more than he ever thought he could be! May I Never make fun of him or put him down, whether in public or in private. May I always demonstrate respect to *B* and build him up with my words.
Empower and equip me to be the wise woman who builds her house (Proverbs 14:1) and is the crown of my husband (Proverbs 12:4) May the way I interact with *B* impact him positively. Let him be like the husband in Proverbs 31 whose heart safely trusts in his wife so that he can sit in the gates with the elders of the land. May my interactions never lead him to be crawling off to a corner of the housetop just trying to get away.
Grow my sense of humor and my ability to laugh at things because "a merry heart does good, like medicine," (Proverbs 17:22) and will cure that continual dripping (Proverbs 27:15)
Empower and equip me for mundane tasks. May I be wise and remember that dirty dishes are a sign of God’s faithful provision and they give thanks to Him as they clean them AGAIN. 2 Thessalonians 3:13 to “not grow weary in doing good.”
FOR TODAY
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
